Image1: I chose this image because I just really enjoy looking at it. It was a really thoughtful image, I planned out everything before I shot it. I made sure I used the law of thirds and it has a nice range of blacks whites and greys. my eyes move around the image due to the different lines going every which way. when I shot the image I knew I wanted everything to be in focus.
image 2: I chose this image because of the movement in the photo. again it has a nice range of whites and blacks. my eyes move around the image because of the lines in the windows and up the sides of the building. I made sure no lines were shooting up the middle of the picture. image 3: I chose this image because of all of its triangles. I love how the power lines create little triangles through out the image. the image is dynamic because of how its composed with mostly geometric shapes. the views eye moves around the image due to the cables shooting out of frame. I had to make sure my iso was set to a lower number because of how bright it was outside. Image 4: I chose this image because of its shallow depth of field. the photo is very textural and the cracks and bumps give off cool light flecks and shadows. my eyes move around the image because of the creasing in the trash bag. for this image I wanted a shallow depth of field. Image 5: I chose this image because of the contrast between the white walls and black window frame. there's a huge use of light and shadow throughout the image. the black hitting the white wall gives this image a huge sense of movement. I had to think about aperture while taking this image because of all the light coming through the windows. Image 6: I chose this image because of the texture of the brick, I like the grainy look it gives to the image. the image has a shallow depth of field and the white lines down the brick give the image a sense of movement. when taking this image I was thinking mainly of the depth of field but I also had to fix my iso because the image was so dark. double exposure |
Favorite: Person. Place. Thing.
yes I feel like these images are successful. Especially he tropical smoothie picture, I love how it has a shallow depth of field and the sunset in the background reflects the "tropical" name. I bring the viewer into my personal attachment to the objects by making it the main focus within each of my pictures. All of the subjects are in shallow depth and ALMOST near the center. If I were someone's favorite person I would like to be photographed on a huge roller coaster with a huge grin on my face and wind blowing in my face. It's one of my most genuine smiles
